Quality Assurance Engineer

Natick, MA We’re seeking a talented QA Engineer to join the growing Enservio Engineering team to enhance our ability to deliver high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have experience with planning, creating and executing manual tests using standard QA methodology. In addition, this individual will take an active role in refining our QA process and collaborating with Engineering, Technical Operations and Product Management teams to ensure the highest quality software is delivered to our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, documents and executes test scenarios, cases and plans using standard QA methodologies (smoke tests, white box, black box)
- Leads manual test projects using available processes, frameworks and tools
- Documents, troubleshoots and identify root causes in software defects
- Install and configure multi-tiered web applications in test environments, including application, database and web server layers
- Collaborates with software engineers to understand technical designs, and with product managers to refine acceptance criteria and execute test plans to meet established quality criteria
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years experience manual testing of browser-based, hosted web applications
- Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) architectures and delivery model
- Experience with Bugzilla, VersionOne or similar defect tracking and management platform
- Experience with Agile/Scrum SDLC and defect management strategies
- Exposure to Java and MySQL
- Familiarity with QuickTest Professional (QTP), Selenium and/or other automation tools
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in QA process
- Understand complex technical environments quickly
- Manage multiple priorities and projects
- Able to construct SQL queries
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, schedule driven and results focused
