Even 7-year olds get it

Recently, I had the opportunity to appear in front of my daughter’s class for career day.  She’s in second grade, so she and her pals are seven.  Yes, seven years old.  Do you remember much about that time in a child’s life?  They have remarkably little business experience and even less of an attention span.  I had no idea what I would say.  After fretting about it for a while, it finally hit me.  All I had to do was tell them that I work for a company that helps people get their stuff back.  Everybody has stuff, especially seven year-olds.  “If your roof springs a leak, and water wrecks everything in your toy closet,” I said, “my company can help you get it back.”  One kid raised his hand and said that if that happened to him, he would be mad and sad and want to get his stuff back right away.  “Right,” I said, “that’s why we help speed things up.”  Another boy said there was no way he would remember all the stuff that his family kept in there.  “Yes,” I added, “that’s why we help people make lists of everything.”  A girl raised her hand to say that she wouldn’t be able to figure out what everything was worth.  “Exactly, that’s why we do it for you!” I noted.  All of them liked that a lot, and after distributing Enservio pens, my status as rock star was solidified.  Walking into school with my daughter that morning, I would not have expected what I got:  the perfect focus group.  The value that Enservio delivers is evident and intuitive, even to a group of seven year olds!
