Framed artwork disputes

Be careful when taking inventory and valuing hung artwork. I've recently had two separate issues arise where the value of frames were claimed distinctly from the artwork matted within the frame.

A skilled and experienced inventory specialist will catch this, but I hadn't. In one claim the artwork contained within one of the many frames damaged was greater than the piece matted within.
