
Jon McNeill, CEO
Jon McNeill's experience as an insurance industry entreprenuer earned him a reputation as both an innovator and implementor. In 2002 Fast Company magazine named him one of the 10 most innovative CEOs in the country.
McNeill co-founded Sterling Collision Centers in 1997 and grew the chain from a single store to a 60-store national chain of auto body repair centers focused on turnaround time and customer service. Sterling was acquired by Allstate Insurance Company in May of 2001. Sterling employs over 1200 and continues to add store locations.
In 1993 McNeill founded First Notice Systems, Inc., a 24-hour property & casualty insurance claim services firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. He served as its CEO until it was acquired by a public company, Concentra Managed Care, in 1997. Prior to First Notice Systems, McNeill was a consultant with Bain & Company, an international strategic management consulting firm. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.
James Fini, President & Founder
Mr. Fini's career as an executive and entrepreneur spans twenty-two years' of insurance industry expertise and technological innovation. He is the holder of several patents and leads research and development at Enservio.
Fini has grown businesses within, consulted to, and sold software products to, the insurance industry while with leading the contents product category at Marshall & Swift/Boeckh. Prior to MSB, Fini held senior positions with G.A.Sullivan, Burntsand, and J.P. Morgan. He honed his entrepreneurial skills as a founder of both Whirlwind Associates and BuyersEDGE.com. He has developed and sold patented technology for search engine optimization. Fini is a Syracuse University Business School alumnus. He is a competitive skier and married with two children.
George Pilla, Consulting Chief Financial Officer
George Pilla serves as Consulting CFO and financial advisor to Enservio. Mr. Pilla consults to a number of venture-backed technology companies in the areas of financial management, human resources and corporate administration. He has provided guidance to more than 75 companies since 1995. Mr. Pilla has extensive experience in financial management and planning, establishment of banking relationships, equity financing, cash flow management and human resources management, as well as insurance and other administrative matters common to young companies.
Previously Mr. Pilla served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Course Technology, Inc., Steinbrecher Corporation, and Polymer Technology Corporation, all of which were venture-funded. Prior to these positions, Mr. Pilla was an audit manager at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston. Mr. Pilla holds a BS in Accounting from Boston College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Robert Chase, SVP, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Chase has fifteen years of experience in consulting and software business development, sales and marketing strategy and execution, solution delivery, product development, and investment valuation. Mr. Chase has co-founded two successful consulting entities since 2003: ThinkingWave, a product development and product/service marketing consultancy; and OnDemand Capital, a boutique strategy and operations consultancy serving pre-funding start-up companies and assisted in Enservio's early stage product development, marketing, and funding.
For seven years prior to 2003, Mr. Chase held several senior sales and professional services positions for Information Management Associates and its acquirer, AIT USA, a Customer Relationship Management software and services provider. Chase participated in IMA's IPO in 1997, its sale to the British firm AIT in 2001, and the attraction of VC investment in AIT in 2002. His most recent role was SVP, Sales & Business Development covering North & South American, and Asian markets.
At strategy consultancy, Monitor Company, in the mid-1990s, Chase launched a Technology Strategy practice focusing on emerging internet-based businesses. In this role, he and his team helped to create AT&T Solutions and several other lines of business for large corporations intent on participating in the new internet economy. Prior to Monitor, Chase spent seven years building, managing, and selling solutions in Austin, TX and Hartford, CT for Andersen Consulting (Accenture). Chase earned his A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1987.
Ed Burkhart, SVP, Sales
Mr. Burkhart is an action oriented professional with over 20 years of senior operations and sales management experience, with a proven track record of growing profitable businesses. Throughout Mr. Burkharts career, he has been recognized for demonstrated expertise in successful leadership and communication fostering increased productivity, profitability, strength in business development, client relations, multi-site operations management and re-engineering for optimum profitability.
Mr. Burkhart has over 15 years of focused insurance industry experience in senior level positions with companies such as Agency-Rent-a-Car, Cross Country Group and AVIS.
Jay Straughan, VP, EnservioSelect
Mr. Straughans career in the insurance industry spans 17 years. Before joining Enservio in the Fall of 2007, he served Liberty Mutuals field claims organization for 10 years as Claim Adjuster, Team Manager, and Regional Property Loss Manager. In 2000, he joined Liberty's Home Office Claims team and served as Assistant Director-Property Claims, Director-Property Claims, and Manager-Property Claims. His direct experience includes work on every major US catastrophe since Hurricane Andrew in 1992. He has managed multiple estimating platforms, including Accupro®, Xactimate® and Pilot Catastrophe Services®.
Mr. Straughan is a 4-time presenter at the Property Loss Research Bureau claims conference. He has chaired the Roofing Committee and served on the Fortified® Committee of the Institute for Building and Home Safety in Tampa, FL. He has served or is serving on the boards of Cason United Methodist Church (FL), Newton Presbyterian Church (MA) and Christians Reaching Out to Society (FL). He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Samford University and an M.S. in Construction Management from Florida International University.
J. Andrew Shelley, VP, Product Management & Marketing
Andrew Shelley has driven multiple start-ups in the automotive, insurance, and publishing industries. In 2000 he implemented Argosi®, a supply chain management system that transformed the processing and management of roadside assistance claims for Cross Country Automotive Services, the nation's leader in wholesale roadside assistance. Throughout his career, Andrew has built multiple product organizations that have developed new services including BMW Assist (BMW's Onstar®), Service Advantage (an auto repair referral service),
Assist24(a personal concierge service), Investment Profiles magazine, and Ballot AmericaTM. Andrew earned his A.B. from Duke University and his MBA from Boston College.
Jeff Kita, VP Engineering
Jeff Kita brings over twenty-five years of experience in product development with a focus on the software process and methodology. Prior to Enservio, Jeff was Director of Software Development at Constant Contact where his product set drove company revenues from $8M to $80M. In other positions, Jeff has managed architects, engineers, and strategic product development for Sun Microsystems, HigherGround Systems, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Jeff earned an MS in Computer Science from Boston University as well as an MA in Psychology from Boston College. He is the inventor of three software patents.

Jim Wander, CPCU, CIC Vice President, Sales
Jim Wander's 25 years in insurance technology sales and operational management have included senior management positions with: Craig/IS, LTD, a leading subrogation outsourcing firm for the P&C insurance industry; Delphi Information Systems, and; JD Warren, a recovery outsourcing firm for the P&C industry. Wander is an alumnus of the Ohio University School of Business. |
